As told by Anne Timss and Kat St. John
It is our 38th episode, everyone!
During shit we bought, we are announcing our winners for our 7 week holiday give away.
What are the winners getting this week?!
A full set of Bdellium Brushes and brush soap from the London Brush Company.
Last episode was all about Black Eyeliners! Which one did you want to try?!
The season is winding down finally, which means Kat and Anne are coming onto some downtime. Kat has been chillin’ and doing some personal styling, working with ongoing projects, enjoying the time to breathe and read more books.
Anne has been involved in some really interesting experience being involved on a Netflix series she just worked on. She touches on how sometimes the work makeup artist do takes an emotional toll. You never know what experience in life your job will give you.
Kat is pleased to report via Loop Industries website: L’Occitane will Meet its 100% Recycled Bottles Goal Ahead of Schedule Thanks to Loop Industries. Adrien Geiger, Global Brand Director at L’OCCITANE en Provence, adds: “Sensible sustainable thinking lies at the heart of everything we do.”
Anne is way into L’Oréal suing startup Drunk Elephant for patent infringement.
Why are they being sued? Single Phase solution composition. Science, right? It is in the way that Vitamin C is encapsulated. And Loreal has a patent on that, which they have filed suit on against Drunk Elephant.
The Three Wise Serums.
Believe it or not, there are three serums that everyone needs.
Hyaluronic Acid (duh). Humans have hyaluronic acid naturally but as we age, we are depleted of this, so we need to supplement it topically. Think of HA as a “Moisture Magnet”
A favorite of A + K is the Peter Thomas Roth “Water Drench”
Dr. Barabara Sturm – At $300.00 a bottle but we have no doubt it is worth it.
Vitamin C increases the production of collagen. It also gives you a nice radiant glow. When adding Collagen, you are strengthening the skin, making it feel healthier. If you are in your 20’s you may not need to start but think of this as a gift to yourself on your dirty 30.
Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum is one you everyone should try. This is where you spend the money. You can be cheaper with other items but your skin care is where you don’t mess around.
OK what else do you need? Is it tone, texture? Is it deep wrinkles, or redness? This is your “Heavy Lifting Serums”.
Kat focuses on her smile lines and her forehead. Which leads her to the Retinoids. Dryness, lines and big pores. She recommends Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinoid Serum! Little goes a really long way. And of course, the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads for that smoothing.
Remember: We are not doing beauty boxes but WEEKLY give aways – please follow the instructions in our give away posts!
SHIT WE BOUGHT
Anne is totally into a holistic state of mind with 2020 around the corner – this nice, soft eye cream by Lilyana Naturals is not only affordable, but wholesome goodness for your peepers.
Kat is all about treating her sad, dry hair (since she slacked on getting into her stylist before the holiday). She took a little extra time during her routine and pumped up her dry, treated hair with a bit more moisture! This hair mask by Maria Nile is cruelty free, and oh so nice for your tired, winter locks.
